We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.
Thank you for taking the time to read our posts this year. A special thank you to all of our subscribers for sticking with us. We hope you are occasionally inspired to make stuff too. Let us know when you do. We have got to know a lot of you through the blog and we enjoy your virtual company and comments. It’s also brought us some interesting and unusual opportunities so long may it continue.
At this time of year it’s natural to reflect a little on what we have done in the last 12 months, or even over the last decade.
It reminds me that we all have almost as many failures as successes. For example this was the only brandy butter cake pop that survived the chocolate dipping process because I rushed them. Plus, we don’t all get around to the things we think we ‘ought’ to do…like this image was supposed to be sent as a Christmas card but life kind of got in the way. The way I see it, the more things you have a go at, the more likely it is that something will go well…eventually.
Here’s to another year of trying things out and enjoying the journey.
All the best to you all for 2011.

P.S. I will post about how I made and failed with my cake pops for next Christmas I think, when I have perfected the art, but basically I made them like these ones but using a golden syrup bar cake and a couple of spoonfuls of brandy butter.

Wonderful looking cake pop, worthy of Bakerella herself but I know what you mean, they are a bugger to dip.
Happy New Year to you too xx
