When life gives you melons.
Make Melonade.
That’s all I got. No story, no fancy recipe.
Just a reason to use that line.
Things{we}make Melonade
- Juice or liquidise half a small watermelon
- Sieve
- Add the juice of 2-3 lemons
- Stir in some sugar syrup to sweeten
- Serve topped up with an equal quantity of soda
Then pretend it’s still Summer

What a delicious idea. (Though I must admit with all the rain today it did make me shudder a bit – perhaps I can do a warm version!)

Mmmmm… The last days of summer have gone and the air has chilled leaving frost in our windshields for us to enthusiastically scrape off in the morning. But even through it is getting older, it doesn’t mean we can’t scramble to remember last week’s warm weather. Try this yummy Melonade from ‘Things We Make’.

Love melonade! I also use this mix or a berry with lime and dry it in the oven to make fruit leather. The photo of the stacking glasses reminds me of the taverna shows in Greece where the waiter puts on a balancing act show with song and dance of course. Cheers!
